Contra Vision, a product and solutions provider of perforated and non-perforated window films, announced winners of their prestigious 3rd International Wrap Artists Competition at the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association Expo. For those of you that are not familiar with this sister-industry of solar control window films, film wraps are used in not only commercial storefronts but also to decorate entire vehicles from small cars to large trucks and buses with a branding message for companies, movies, or consumer products.
The award categories include “Best Build Wrap”, “Best Application, Interior Design”, “Best Vehicle Wrap”, and “Best Point of Purchase”. All winners receive a special glass trophy, and the overall winner receives $1000. Window film wraps are especially fascinating as it brings the art into the window tinting world. OmniGraphics for their large-scale wrap promoting the World Cup slogan ‘The World’s here to play’. The entire face of the buildings were covered in custom printed window film. One of the installations included 476 individual panels, altogether measuring 32.5 meters across and 16.5 meters high.
Kellog’s Crunchy Nut cereal bus advertisement wrapped an entire double-decker bus in England. The bright yellow and the large bus size combined for a stunning experience.
