Orders and shipping
Where do you ship?
We ship from Castro Valley, California, to addresses in the United States and Canada. We are an online store only: there's no walk-in shop, and we don't do installations.
How much is shipping?
US orders of $500 or more ship free. Smaller US orders pay USPS Ground Advantage postage, and Canadian orders pay USPS Priority Mail International postage, based on your order's weight and destination. We charge what USPS charges us; your exact rate is shown at checkout before you pay. Full details are in our shipping policy.
How do I check my order?
Your order confirmation email has a link to your order status page, and you'll get another email with tracking when your order ships. Orders go by USPS.
What if something is out of stock?
We'll email you. You can take a refund for that item right away, or keep it on backorder and we'll ship it when it arrives.
Returns and damage
Can I return film?
You can ask to return unused, uncut film in its original packaging within 30 days of delivery. Email us first with your order number: returns need an authorization number, and approved returns have a 25% restocking fee. Our refund policy has the details.
My package arrived damaged
Please check your package when it arrives, and email us within 24 hours of delivery if anything is damaged or missing. Keep all the packaging until the claim is settled; we'll help you file it with the carrier.
Choosing film
How dark can I legally go?
It depends on your state and on which window. Look up your state on our window tint laws by state page.
What is VLT, and why does my glass matter?
VLT (visible light transmission) is the percentage of light that gets through. Car glass already has some tint, usually 70–85% VLT, so the result on the car (the net VLT) is darker than the film alone. A good estimate is glass VLT × film VLT: a 35% film on 80% glass comes out around 28%. Choose a film light enough that the net VLT stays within your state's limit. The window film glossary explains the other spec-sheet terms.
Which film should I choose?
Start with our guide to types of window film, then compare lines on our window film brands & specs pages. If you're still unsure, email us with your vehicle or window details and we'll suggest options.
Do you sell precut kits?
We sell film by the roll. For kits cut to fit your car or windows, see our partner SnapTint.
