LLumar Centaur

No longer listed Status checked September 2026

Discontinued. Not on LLumar's current spec sheet. Its top films are now the CTX and IRX ceramic series. Last seen on LLumar's US auto spec sheet dated December 2003 (still posted in 2005) and gone from the April 2007 sheet.

From our catalog notes (2008–2013): Centaur is a Premium Metal Combination in a slightly bluish-grey color that is superior to metal/solution dyed film combinations for very good performance and a stylized metal appearance.

Metallized film carries sputtered or vacuum-deposited metal that reflects heat. It's durable and color-stable but a little reflective, and the metal can weaken phone, GPS and toll-tag signals. Compare the types of window film.

Visualize the shades: tint preview and heat rejected

The tint preview shows how each shade darkens the view from inside (visible light transmission, VLT); screens vary, so use it as a guide. Heat rejected is total solar energy rejected (TSER): higher is cooler.
