Solar Gard Ultra Performance

No longer listed Status checked September 2026

Discontinued. Not on Solar Gard's current US site. Its ceramic car films are now XenithIR and VortexIR. On Solar Gard's US car film pages from 2007, as Ultra Performance Plus from 2017 to 2019; gone from the list by June 2021.

From our catalog notes (2008–2013): Manufactured with advanced nanotechnology, Ultra Performance is in a class of its own when it comes to maximizing your driving experience and comfort. Thanks to the advanced infrared heat blocking properties of Ultra Performance, you'll enjoy significant reduction in the total solar heat energy coming through your windows in 6 different shades. In addition, Ultra Performance offers industry leading film clarity for unaltered visibility and safe driving.

Nano-ceramic film uses very fine ceramic particles to block infrared heat. It gives high heat rejection even in light shades and doesn't interfere with signals. Compare the types of window film.

Figures are measured on single-pane clear glass; results on your windows will vary. The number in a shade's name is nominal; VLT is the measured light transmission. Archived specs may differ from what was sold near the end of the line.

Darkness limits for cars are set by each state. Check your state's tint law before choosing a shade.

Visualize the shades: tint preview and heat rejected

The tint preview shows how each shade darkens the view from inside (visible light transmission, VLT); screens vary, so use it as a guide. Heat rejected is total solar energy rejected (TSER): higher is cooler.
