Huper Optik (Hüper Optik) is known for nano-ceramic film built on titanium-nitride layers, developed with Germany's Fraunhofer institutes. Ceramic film doesn't corrode or interfere with phone and GPS signals, which set it apart from the metallized films of the 2000s.

Solutia bought Huper Optik and V-KOOL when it acquired Singapore-based Novomatrix in 2010, and both passed to Eastman in 2012. Huper Optik USA now lists Ceramic, Select (Drei and Sech), Fusion, Traditional, Dekorativ and safety series. The Ceramic line in our archive is still sold. Klasse, the flagship in 2012, is no longer listed.

Heat rejected = total solar energy rejected (TSER), lowest to highest across the line's shades, from the maker's published specs (each line's page names the source and its date). Darker shades usually reject more. Figures are for film on clear glass, so treat comparisons as a guide.
