Avery Dennison began in Los Angeles in 1935, when R. Stanton Avery started Kum Kleen Products, and became Avery Dennison when it combined with Dennison Manufacturing in 1990. It is based in Mentor, Ohio. Its graphics business makes Supreme Wrapping Film and Conform Chrome vehicle wrap films and Supreme paint protection film.

In window film, Avery Dennison bought Hanita Coatings, founded on an Israeli kibbutz in 1983, for $75 million; the deal closed in March 2017. In February 2025 it launched Encore car window films in three tiers, Encore, Encore Supreme and the nanoceramic Encore Supreme IR, alongside the clear Encore Shield IR. TintCenter sells Avery Dennison wrap film.
