Global is the international brand of Garware Hi-Tech Films, known until 2021 as Garware Polyester. Garware makes polyester film in western India and introduced its sun control window film in 1982. In India the film is sold as Garware Suncontrol; in the US, Europe and elsewhere it is sold as Global, through Global Hi-Tech Films in Tampa, Florida.

Garware is unusual in making nearly everything itself, from the polyester to the finished, dyed and coated film, and it describes its plant as the world's largest window film factory on one site. When India's Supreme Court banned tinted film on cars in 2012, Garware leaned harder on exports, and in 2020 it started making paint protection film. Its best-known car lines abroad are HP (dyed and metallized) and the QDP non-reflective and ceramic ranges.
